Kubota small engine range available for gasoline, LPG and natural gas fuel sources

Available to operate on gasoline, LPG and natural gas fuel sources, Kubota Europe’s three-cylinder WG1903 engine is offered as an alternative power unit to the firm’s diesel-fuelled D1803 three-cylinder engine. “We see some inner city and urban legislation pushing OEM customers towards a different fuel source as an alternative to the 1.8 litre Kubota D1803,” said Daniel Grant, marketing manager of Kubota Europe’s engine division. “The WG1903 is that solution, and has been engineered with the same footprint

The WG1903 Kubota engine suits a wide range of fuel types including gasoline, LPG and natural gas

Available to operate on gasoline, LPG and natural gas fuel sources, 1265 Kubota Europe’s three-cylinder WG1903 engine is offered as an alternative power unit to the firm’s diesel-fuelled D1803 three-cylinder engine.

“We see some inner city and urban legislation pushing OEM customers towards a different fuel source as an alternative to the 1.8 litre Kubota D1803,” said Daniel Grant, marketing manager of Kubota Europe’s engine division. “The WG1903 is that solution, and has been engineered with the same footprint, architecture and mountings as the D1803, so it is available as a drop-in solution.”

The spark-ignition engine offers a power output of 35kW at 2700rpm, and a slightly larger displacement than the diesel version, at 1.9 litres.

Kobelco Construction Machinery claims that its 21tonne hybrid excavator, the SK210H, is the world’s first lithium ion battery powered hybrid excavator. Compared to super capacitors, the Japanese maker has found that li-ion battery packs are able to retain their charge for longer, and can deliver a near-constant flow of power making engine fuel management much more efficient, while reducing spikes in operating performance. A large capacity, 200kg lithium-ion battery pack in the SK210H has the ability to d

US and European asphalt paving needs are different, but some firms are bridging that gap, reports Mike Woof. With a clear differentiation between the US and European asphalt paving markets, manufacturers from the latter are now developing machines aimed at the former. The US and European markets for paving machines have developed along very different lines. North American pavers are designed for high throughputs and high paving rates, having been designed to meet a need to build roads over long distances wi
