Kubota moves up the power band with V5009

Kubota has launched its 09-series large displacement engine to a European audience. Badged the V5009, the four-cylinder 5 litre diesel engine boasts a peak output of 157.3kW from its compact dimensions, and is part of an engine strategy that will see the Japanese maker provide customer solutions in the 150kW category. 1265 Kubota has launched its 09-series large displacement engine to a European audience. Badged the V5009, the four-cylinder 5 litre diesel engine boasts a peak output of 157.3kW from its compact dimensions, and is part of an engine strategy that will see the Japanese maker provide customer solutions in the 150kW category.

Kubota’s V5009 engine is expected to meet forthcoming EU Stage V emissions from its adoption of DOC, DPF and SCR processes within its exhaust after-treatment package.

The V5009 engine is scheduled to enter production from as early as next year, and it will be supplemented by the introduction of a second 09-series engine - the V4309. With a displacement of 4.3 litres, the four-cylinder V4309 engine will offer a rated output of 115.7kW and a maximum torque figure of 649Nm from 1500-1600rpm.
