Kramer goes all electric for its new wheel loader 5055e

Kramer, part of the Wacker Neuson Group, will start deliveries of its fully electric wheel loader 5055e starting this summer. Charge time for the 1.2tonne lead-acid battery system is between three and six hours, depending on the work at hand. Its small size - 0.55m³ bucket capacity – and zero emission performance makes it suitable for close-quarters work, including road tunnel applications.

The all-electric 5055e from Kramer

8402 Kramer-Werke, part of the 1651 Wacker Neuson Group, will start deliveries of its fully electric wheel loader 5055e starting this summer.

Charge time for the 1.2tonne lead-acid battery system is between three and six hours, depending on the work at hand.

Its small size - 0.55m³ bucket capacity – and zero emission performance makes it suitable for close-quarters work, including road tunnel applications.

The initially high investment costs are offset by significantly lower maintenance costs. Maintenance periods are shorter because none is needed for the engine.

Two electric motors were installed for this purpose: one for the work hydraulics and one for the drive system. Depending on the application of the wheel loader, the power is demanded from the corresponding motor.

This helps to keep the energy consumption as low as possible.
