Komatsu launches new range of excavators for China

Komatsu showed off four new excavators at bauma 2014 in Shanghai, China. The range is Tier 3 compliant and meets China's imminent new emissions requirements. 2300 Komatsu showed off four new excavators at bauma 2014 in Shanghai, China. The range is Tier 3 compliant and meets China's imminent new emissions requirements. The Komatsu engines feature electronic injection and can work efficiently even with low grade fuel. “Komatsu gave a quick response to government regulations and used research and innovation to tackle the situation” said a Komatsu spokesman.

The versatile PC110-8MO is an 11,300kg excavator with a 69.9kW engine and bucket volume of 0.48-0.53m3. The PC130-8MO is 12,500kg with the same engine and a bucket volume of 0.53-0.64m3. Weighing in considerably heavier the PC300-8MO is 32,000kg and has an 187kW engine and bucket volume of 1.40-1.60m3. Topping out the range the PC360-8MO is 33,550kg with the 187kW engine and bucket volume of 1.60m3.

Currently only on sale in China they will in the future be offered to other emergent markets.
