2200 Kobelco now offers its new narrow track excavator model for the 20tonne class.

The SK210SNLC variant is aimed particularly at customers in the Alpine Region in Italy, allowing it to be transported along narrow and twisty roads. The model was designed following an intensive research programme that included consultation with the local market and customer feedback.

According to the firm, this model offers the same lifting and digging capabilities as the standard machine despite its narrower track, which measures just 2.54m-wide instead of the 2.71m of the conventional variant. Its fuel consumption is also said to be as economical as for the standard variant.

To keep the machine’s size in trim, the aftertreatment package has been relocated by 30mm to the right while the door has also been redesigned. Power comes from a 7228 Hino diesel that meets the latest Stage IV emissions regulations. This diesel drives through a more efficient hydraulic system and the firm claims that the new Generation 10 offers fuel savings of 38% over the previous Generation 9.
