Kobelco’s new SK210LC-9 excavators offer a range of new technical
2200 Kobelco Construction Machinery says that its new SK210LC-9 and SK210NLC-9 excavators offer a range of new technical. Both models are built at Kobelco’s new state-of-the-art factory in Hiroshima, Japan. The machines are said to be easy to use, with cost-effective maintenance, advanced safety designs and reduced emissions. Power comes from a Hino JO5E-T5J turbocharged diesel that complies with Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission regulations. Low fuel consumption is claimed, further aided by an automatic idle stop feature. The machine is said to be energy efficient with three operating work modes for heavy, standard and eco-operation. High power and torque output is said to provide smooth, progressive travel on all terrain and progressive swing and dig action. A state-of-the-art hydraulic control system complements the precise and seamless arm operation with less engine performance input required. Daily and routine service intervals have been extended to minimise downtime. Safety is a priority with a rear view camera fitted as standard to improve visibility. The machine also has an LCD multi-display monitor for monitoring machine maintenance requirements and diagnostics. Komatsu has revealed two new mid-sized excavators – the PC240LC-10 and PC290LC-10. Komatsu’s Dash 10 excavators are said to bring improved efficiency, lower fuel consumption, better operator comfort and lower operating costs to market. And the two new Dash 10 models include the 26tonne PC240LC-10 and 31.9tonne PC290LC-10.

Featuring the company’s Tier 4 interim CEGR technology and unique iNDr system, these quiet short radius models are said to combine productivity with the ability to work in the tightest spaces, making them ideal for urban job sites and road construction work.

Like its fellow new 9A series hydraulic excavators with engines above 130kW, the engine on the Robex R380NLC-9A hydraulic crawler excavator from Hyundai Heavy Industries (HI) comes with an EGR and diesel particulate filter (DPF). The DPF is said to be automatically or manually regenerated, ensuring compliance with all NOx and PM values. According to Hyundai HI, DPF filters only need to be cleaned after 5,000 to 6,000 hours in operation.
