A British parent had a huge shock when he returned from a fast food takeaway to find his car had been stolen, with his five year old child still sitting in her car seat. Luckily police found the stolen Skoda just 10 minutes later, having been quickly alerted to the theft.

A British parent had a huge shock when he returned from a fast food takeaway to find his car had been stolen, with his five year old child still sitting in her car seat. Luckily police found the stolen Skoda just 10 minutes later, having been quickly alerted to the theft. Four teenagers were charged following the incident. The five year old girl was unharmed during the incident and even managed to sleep right through it. The father had left the car keys in the ignition, a mistake he will not make again.

    A total of 1,314 American children aged 14 and under died in US road crashes in 2009, according to new research by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The NHTSA said 179,000 injuries had also been caused to the same child age group following 2009 crashes. The agency says safety seats in passenger cars had been found to reduce the risk of crash deaths for children of four-years-old and below by 54%, and infants by 71%.

After the son stole a pensioner’s wallet, the mother drove him away from the scene of the crime. The son did tell his mother what he had just done, as the not-so-daring duo drove away. The mother refused to let officers search their home, explaining that her son had thrown away the empty wallet, having spent the US$40 it had contained. The son was charged with robbery.
