Doosan dealers, Kellands (Plant Sales) Ltd and Northern Excavators Ltd, are both celebrating their 25th anniversaries this year as dealers for the Doosan Heavy range of equipment from Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment (DICE).

Kevin Zimmer, DICE regional director for UK and Ireland, said: “The 695 Doosan family is proud of the partnership developed over the past 25 years with 7057 Kellands and Northern Excavators.

Achieving such a milestone is a testament to the focus at both dealers on delivering an exceptional customer experience and the strong, local leadership within both organisations.”

With depots in Bridgwater and Camelford in Cornwall, South West England, Kellands is the authorised dealer for both the Doosan Heavy and 1130 Bobcat ranges manufactured by DICE in the whole of South West England, covering the counties of Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall, North Somerset, North East Somerset, and Gloucestershire, along with the cities of Bath and Bristol.

Headquartered in Hillsborough, Northern Excavators is the authorised dealer for Northern Ireland for both the Doosan Heavy and Bobcat ranges covering the counties of Donegal, Derry, Antrim, Tyrone, Fermanagh, Monaghan, Armagh, Down and Cavan. Kellands signed up as a dealer during a visit to the Site Equipment Demonstration (SED) Exhibition in 1987, when the Daewoo range of excavators and wheeled loaders made its first appearance in the UK, and successfully promoted the products over the years leading up to the purchase of the Daewoo range by Doosan in 2005. The Doosan range of articulated dump trucks, formerly branded 1239 Moxy, was added in 2008.

Northern Excavators can also trace its roots as a Doosan dealer back to a visit to the same SED show in 1987. A week later at the Balmoral Show in Northern Ireland, Northern Excavators showed 3086 Daewoo DH120 and DH180 excavators. Both machines were quickly sold by Northern Excavators. These were the first sales of Daewoo machines not only in the UK but also in the whole of Europe.
