8752 Kato Imer has announced the production of two Kato V4 series mini-excavators  – the 30V4 and 35V4 with operating weights of 3 tonnes and 3.5 tonnes  respectively – at the Imer Group facility in San Gimignano.  This brings to seven the number of models now produced at the facility, making it of strategic importance to Kato and accounting for 80% of Kato Imer revenue.

The V4 series has three hydraulic pumps in place of load sensing, increasing speed of movement without losing controllability, claims the company. The series also features standard components for consistency and interchangeability of spares. The accurate rating of the hydraulic system makes it possible to develop bucket tooth breakout force of 29.1 kN (2970 kgf) in both the 30V4 and 35V4 models.

Both models have an easy to maintain 17.5 kW YANMAR 3TNV88 engine with high torque and power, low fuel and oil consumption, and minimal emissions. A wide cab is designed for operator comfort with plenty of legroom.
