8752 Kato Imer has announced the production of two Kato V4 series mini-excavators  – the 30V4 and 35V4 with operating weights of 3 tonnes and 3.5 tonnes  respectively – at the Imer Group facility in San Gimignano.  This brings to seven the number of models now produced at the facility, making it of strategic importance to Kato and accounting for 80% of Kato Imer revenue.

The V4 series has three hydraulic pumps in place of load sensing, increasing speed of movement without losing controllability, claims the company. The series also features standard components for consistency and interchangeability of spares. The accurate rating of the hydraulic system makes it possible to develop bucket tooth breakout force of 29.1 kN (2970 kgf) in both the 30V4 and 35V4 models.

Both models have an easy to maintain 17.5 kW YANMAR 3TNV88 engine with high torque and power, low fuel and oil consumption, and minimal emissions. A wide cab is designed for operator comfort with plenty of legroom.

Caterpillar’s hallmark has been to stake its brand value on the ability to improve on products already considered very good. So it was with some pride that the global group unveiled its new 313F L GC tracked excavator during a dealer and media demonstration conference in Malaga, southern Spain in early March. The 313’s close cousin is the 312E, a high-use machine designed to put in long hours to maximise the owner’s productivity over the machine’s life cycle. The machine’s owner likely gets paid by the h

    April 26, 2018
Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe (CEE) has introduced the SV60, its latest short-tail midi-excavator. The 5.7 tonne machine has been designed to offer the performance of a midi-excavator with the benefits of a compact excavator, claims the company. The SV60 has a reduced tail swing and a minimal rotational radius of 2,240mm, giving it a working envelope of 3,565mm. With comfort in mind to enhance operator productivity, the new machine's cabin is comparable in size to 8 and 10 tonne excavators. Operatin

Increased performance and more durable construction are key features of new generation excavators – Mike Woof writes. All the major equipment manufacturers are introducing new hydraulic excavators to meet market demand. These machines are offering increased output at the same time as producing lower emission levels and burning less fuel than before. From Caterpillar for instance comes its new 330F, which features a maximum operating weight of 29.75tonnes and is powered by a 178kW Cat C7.1 ACERT diesel that
