In the US three elephants caused confusion after they escaped from handlers at a circus and the animals damaged a number of vehicles before they could be recaptured. According to bystanders, the elephants rampaged past several vehicles in a parking lot, tearing off mirrors, damaging bodypanels and breaking windows.

In the US three elephants caused confusion after they escaped from handlers at a circus and the animals damaged a number of vehicles before they could be recaptured. According to bystanders, the elephants rampaged past several vehicles in a parking lot, tearing off mirrors, damaging bodypanels and breaking windows.

Luckily, neither the elephants nor any people in the area were injured. However the vehicle owners will be likely to raise some eyebrows at the insurance firms when their claims are handled.

    Provisional figures available from the UK’s Department for Transport reveal a drop in road fatalities in 2012 compared with the previous year. There were 1,754 fatalities in 2012, an 8% drop from 2011 according to the DfT information.     In India a cyclist suffered a road rage incident, from an elephant. The incident, which was captured on video, occurred as a cyclist overtook an elephant on a busy urban road. The animal, perhaps upset that its slow speed meant other road users were forced to overtake, sideswiped the cyclist with its trunk as he passed.
