257 John Deere Power Systems has revisited the design of its emissions control modules to create a single, inline can solution, which it revealed at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

By combining the DOC, DPF and SCR elements into one unit, JDPS reckons it can achieve a 30% space saving compared to modular cans linked by pipework. The resulting single can module is claimed to offer better management of thermal input, and delivers a lower cost of ownership for OEMs.

The firm said that the inline unit can also be installed horizontally or vertically.
