The 742 telehandler features a new 'gravity lowering system'

2199 JLG Industries introduced the 742 telehandler at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.

The 742 telehandler offers a 7,000 pound maximum lift capacity and multiple powertrain options to suit a wide range of jobsite applications and oil change intervals which can be extended to 1,000 hours.

The telehandler includes JLG's new 'precision gravity lowering system', which uses hydraulic power to raise the telehandler boom but gravity to lower it.

“This provides the operator with better, more precise control and increases the machine’s efficiency,” says John Boehme, JLG Industries product manager, telehandlers. JLG plans to incorporate this new technology across its entire line of telehandlers later this years Boehme.
