JCB excavator delivering on Italian roadbuilding job

The JCB JS220NLC tracked excavator (pictured) is being to work on the complex construction of a 1.2km link road in Rovereto, North East Italy.

Purchased by major Italian Construction group, Consta SpA and supplied by Ala-based JCB dealer OMP, the machine is working alongside a JCB JZ140 model on the project.

Earthmoving project manager, Massimo Broz said: “We have many JCB models in our fleet. It is a brand that we have used for many years and we are very satisfied. Performance, efficiency and fuel consumption are excellent as is the reliability of the machines which require little maintenance.”

Carried out on behalf of the Province of Trento’s Department of Civil Protection and infrastructure, the €4 million project includes the construction of a railway underpass, a 41m diameter roundabout, drainage, the insertion of water pipes and the road itself.
