A Russian skateboarder had a very close call when being filmed in a high speed stunt by a friend. The skateboarder was descending a twisty road and travelling at some speed but misjudged a corner, cutting it too tightly and crashing head-on into an oncoming car. Luckily he did not suffer injuries more serious than cuts and bruises as well as a dented ego and the vehicle was also undamaged.

    The UK’s road safety is improving according to the latest set of official statistics. According to the Department for Transport (DfT) figures, 1,754 people were killed on the UK’s roads in 2012, a drop of 8% from the figure for 2011 and the lowest level since national records commenced in 1926.     Research by the RAC Foundation reveals the high risk posed by young drivers on the UK’s roads.
