Internationaler Messe-und Ausstellungsdienst (1105 IMAG) and Nigerian Afrocet Montgomery are launching the first trade fair for construction machinery and mining in Nigeria. ConMin West Africa will take place from 25-27 April 2017 at the International Convention Centre in Abuja.

The fair is planned to be annual and is supported by Nigeria's Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals Development. A number of major construction projects are underway in the country, including expansion of railway lines, ports and airport terminals, and the construction of entire new cities, such as Centenary City and Eko Atlantic City. There are also plans to construct the country's first large oil refinery.

“We are pleased that we will now also be able to expand our commitment in Africa in the western part of the continent with ConMin West Africa,” said Gabriele Kraus, executive director of IMAG at bauma 2016. “Nigeria particularly has great potential for the construction industry.” The company has already been active in construction machinery fairs in Algeria, Kenya and South Africa.
