Hyundai reveals its latest low emission wheeled loader

196 Cummins QSB6.7 diesel that delivers 116kW and meets Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. The diesel has advanced electronic Controls and a self-diagnostic system, as well as a high pressure common rail system and advanced in-cylinder combustion technology. This offers increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption. The engine drives through a fully automatic transmission that the firm says is designed for maximum durability, minimum power loss, improved travel speed and low noise. It also has an improved clutch control and minimised shifting shock when operating. The HL740-9A model allows an operator to optimise power output, transmission, shift time and clutch cut-off activation to the job. Three engine power modes are available; power, standard and economy, as well as four transmission power shift modes; manual, light, normal and heavy.
Hyundai’s HL740-9A wheeled loader weighs in at 12.7tonnes, has a 2.35m3 bucket capacity as standard and is available in an extended reach (XTD) model, which tips the scales at 13tonnes. The loader is also available in a 13.3tonne tool carrier (TM) model with parallel lift.
Other improvements include better operator comfort and a larger, redesigned cab, as well as an LCD monitor that also operates as a rear-view backup camera for better safety onsite. A new version of Hidromek’s well accepted HMK220LC excavator is being offered with a long reach boom for use in special earthmoving and drainage applications. Called the HMK200LC LR, this machine is designed for fine grading at long reach, as well as for duties such as ditching and drainage clearance. Caterpillar Paving intends to increase sales into the soil compaction sector with its B-series CS and CP single drum machines. The CS68B and CS78B are smooth drum machines while the CP68B and CP78B have a single padfoot drum. The CS68B and CP68B compete in the 14tonne class while the larger CS78B and CP78B are 17tonne class compactors. The machines all share features such as the new high comfort, high visibility, climate-controlled cab.
