Hyundai reveals its latest low emission wheeled loader

196 Cummins QSB6.7 diesel that delivers 116kW and meets Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. The diesel has advanced electronic Controls and a self-diagnostic system, as well as a high pressure common rail system and advanced in-cylinder combustion technology. This offers increased power, improved transient response and reduced fuel consumption. The engine drives through a fully automatic transmission that the firm says is designed for maximum durability, minimum power loss, improved travel speed and low noise. It also has an improved clutch control and minimised shifting shock when operating. The HL740-9A model allows an operator to optimise power output, transmission, shift time and clutch cut-off activation to the job. Three engine power modes are available; power, standard and economy, as well as four transmission power shift modes; manual, light, normal and heavy.
Hyundai’s HL740-9A wheeled loader weighs in at 12.7tonnes, has a 2.35m3 bucket capacity as standard and is available in an extended reach (XTD) model, which tips the scales at 13tonnes. The loader is also available in a 13.3tonne tool carrier (TM) model with parallel lift.
Other improvements include better operator comfort and a larger, redesigned cab, as well as an LCD monitor that also operates as a rear-view backup camera for better safety onsite. Hitachi Construction Machinery is showing four models from its Zaxis 5 range of wheeled excavators. The ZX140W-5, ZX170W-5, ZX190W-5 and ZX220W-5 all feature Isuzu Stage IIIB emissions-compliant engines powering the HIOS III hydraulic system. Montabert has designed its novel Micro CPA drilling attachment for use with a number of utility machines such as backhoe loaders, compact excavators, and skid-steer loaders. The firm offers the H22 and H25 variants, which are single-pass drills with a feed rotation of 45° from vertical. They can be used to drill holes with diameters from 25.4mm-44.45mm and 31.75mm-76.2mm respectively, with maximum hole lengths of 6.1m and 9.1m. Both models can be mounted to carriers in the 5-10tonne range.
