High mobility for Sennebogen’s new crane

Sennebogen says that its new 670 HD crane offers a maximum 70tonne lift capacity as well as ease of transport and versatility. The heavy duty crane features a lattice boom and is part of the firm’s E-series, having been designed for use in demanding applications and with a wide variety of equipment. Customers have a choice of three engine variants, a 298kW Tier 3/Stage IIIa version and either 261kW or 321kW diesels that meet Tier 4 Final/Stage IV requirements. 2924 Sennebogen says that its new 670 HD crane offers a maximum 70tonne lift capacity as well as ease of transport and versatility.

According to Sennebogen, the machine can be used in a broad spectrum of application areas due to its robust construction, powerful multi-circuit hydraulic system and strong slewing drive. This makes the cycle crane particularly well-suited to uses in ground engineering. The machine can be used for applications with leaders or diaphragm wall grabs as well as for the operation of hydraulic casing oscillators.

Equipped with clamshell grab or drag-line bucket, the machine can be used in hydraulic engineering and extraction applications as well. It has two 16tonne capacity freefall winches delivering high pulling forces. Heavy duty winches with 20tonne capacities are also offered as an option. With maximum (lattice) boom lengths of up to 56.9m and an auxiliary jib and fly boom as options, the duty cycle crane is also equipped for conventional crane duties.

The compact crane suits use on construction sites where space is tight. The machine can be made ready for operation within a short time and is said to be highly stable due to its 700mm triple-grouser base plates and telescopic crawler chassis.

It compact dimensions and simplified ballast mounting system also save time and costs when transporting between construction sites. With the crawler chassis telescoped in, the machine has a width of just 3m.

The machine has the firm’s latest Maxcab, which offers an ergonomic layout and can also be tilted by 15° or raised by 2.7m, in order to allow a better view of the attachment or work area.

Sennebogen has revised its 125tonne crawler crane, the 3300, from the ground up and optimised it to meet Tier 4f emission standards. A 186-kW diesel engine and a multi-circuit hydraulic system power the 160-kN winch at rope speeds of up to 105m/min with ease. A Star Lifter crawler undercarriage adds stability and allows the rig to be driven under load. Crawler tracks can be removed for transport, after which the base machine, at just 3.2m wide, can be easily transported. The Sennebogen self-assembly

A Sennebogen 6130 HD duty cycle crawler crane is said to be being successfully used by Gral Schotter to extract gravel near Graz, Austria. In the Wundschuh gravel pit, the 6130 HD model is working in dragline bucket operation. At an extraction depth of 13m the crawler crane is said to be penetrating particularly hard layers, a key reason why Gral Schotter was keen to use a duty cycle crawler crane of its size. An impressive 354kW is provided by the model’s diesel engine. The 6130 HD’s two powerful winches e
