High at high speed

A man under the influence of the illegal drug methamphetamine drove at speeds of up to 160km/h in his minivan while his wife clung to the front of the vehicle.

A man under the influence of the illegal drug methamphetamine drove at speeds of up to 160km/h in his minivan while his wife clung to the front of the vehicle. She said she had held onto the car as she wanted to stop him from driving away. The woman managed to let go of the vehicle when it slowed and the man was later arrested by police for attempted murder.

    UK officers from Dyfed-Powys Police in Wales recently carried out vehicle checks on a Saturday evening shift. The focus for these checks were on enforcement of drink drive legislation and the officers stopped a number of other vehicles during the evening.

    By midnight the officers had conducted more than 85 breath tests. There was only one positive test, provided by a male driver who blew a reading of 85 (the alcohol/breath limit in England and Wales is 35).

    A moped rider in the US state of South Carolina was the victim of a rather unusual attack. He was riding the vehicle when another man pushed him off the moped. As the victim fell to the ground, the attacker then grabbed the victim’s prosthetic leg and used this as a weapon with which to continue the assault. The attacker was arrested and charged for the assault although the reason for the incident has not been revealed.
