High performance is claimed for the new Prosilica CCTV unit

A SOPHISTICATED high definition (HD) Prosilica camera is being offered by 2547 Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) for use in traffic applications. This GX1920 unit is said to offer near infrared sensitivity and low light imaging performance in HD format. The camera has the 240MB/s data transmission capability of the GX series of dual GigE Vision cameras from AVT. It is said to have high light response in both the infrared and visible regions of the spectrum due to the use of the new 2546 Sony ICX674 CCD sensor with ExView HAD technology.

This makes the GX1920 suitable for high resolution Intelligent Transport System applications. The camera is available in monochrome and colour versions with 1936 x 1456 pixel (2.82 MPixel) resolution. It has EXview HAD CCD technology for low noise, anti-blooming and good image quality, as well as near infrared and low light imaging capabilities. This versatile imaging device can be used in a wide range of applications such as low light duties or in car-mounted cameras as well as intelligent transport systems. In addition to speed, resolution and sensitivity, the GX1920 has smart features including auto exposure, gain and white balance and videotype autoiris.
