Hidromek upgrading heavy excavator offering

Hidromek is broadening its range of excavators with the addition of a new heavyweight model in the shape of its HMK490LC. Weighing in at 50.8tonnes in standard specification, the macine has been designed to meet the needs of heavy duty applications such as in quarrying. Hidromek is adding to its heavy excavator range with its HMK490LC
230 Hidromek is broadening its range of excavators with the addition of a new heavyweight model in the shape of its HMK490LC. Weighing in at 50.8tonnes in standard specification, the macine has been designed to meet the needs of heavy duty applications such as in quarrying. Power comes from an 2724 Isuzu diesel rated at 260kW and this is offered in a Tier 4 Final/Stage IV version as well as a Tier 3/Stage IIIA version, depending on the requirements of the local market.

The standard specification for the excavator includes a 2.7m³ bucket as well as a 6.55m boom and a 2.65m arm. Designed to be durable, the new HMK490LC also benefits from twin 2617 Kawasaki axial piston pumps to boost hydraulic performance. Its heavy duty upper frame is designed to withstand difficult working conditions according to the firm. Several additional plates provide durability. The machine has a long undercarriage for stability and is constructed with a rugged upper structure so as to cope with hard working conditions.
