Hidromek’s new 49tonne excavator takes the firm into the extraction market
230 Hidromek is widening its excavator line-up further with the addition of a 49tonne model, as well as unveiling its prototype wheeled loader. The new top-of-the-range excavator takes the company firmly into the extraction market, sharing many of the proven features of the smaller models manufactured by the Turkish firm. High productivity, reliability and durability are claimed, along with low running costs, ease of operation and also ease of maintenance. Meanwhile the firm’s prototype wheeled loader will also be for the extraction segment and is the fruit of a two year development programme by Hidromek’s engineering department.

The company is also growing its sales and the dealer network as well as investing in new premises and production facilities. The extension to the HMK excavator factory in Turkish capital Ankara will see Hidromek doubling capacity. The new plant will cover an area of 1 million m² and construction has started, with the facility due to become operational during 2015.
