712 Haulotte is presenting Pulseo, its new electric rough-terrain mobile elevating platform, at Intermat.

Designed to lower energy costs as well as reduce air and noise pollution, the solution can be deployed in indoor and outdoor applications and operate in low-emission and low-noise zones. In addition, the electric architecture, according to Haulotte, make it suitable for work in downtown areas and green construction sites.

Julien Micheli, product manager at Haulotte, said: “The product works with no emissions which means no noise or gas. It helps clients carry out cleaner work for offices and city centres. Maintenance can also be done either indoors or outdoors.”

The ultra-fast elevation speed, 360-degree continuous turret rotation and simultaneous movements work together to help boost productivity while the duel-load models enable an increased load capacity.

Pulseo is equipped with non-marking tyres and has an oscillating axle and four-wheel drive to provide stability for outdoor work. The product’s low tail swing and easy handling are said to assist operators working in confined spaces.

High-capacity batteries and the ability to lower the basket by gravity with no power consumption helps maximise battery performance. The on-board range extender engine can recharge the batteries if extended power is needed.

“The Activ’Shield Bar 2.0 and Activ’Lighting System to help provide the operator with increased visibility. The machine’s lights also feature a twilight sensor that activates in the dark,” Micheli added.

Haulotte has unveiled a new range of high-precision vertical masts which the manufacturer claims will require minimum maintenance and reduce costs and downtime. Haulotte’s vertical mast booms deliver work platforms for difficult-to-reach places using telescopic masts that can climb to a working height of 6m to 10m. Often used for road-side maintenance work, units like the new Star 8 S vertical mast aim to “provide agility in confined areas” says Haulotte. The mast is “easy” to transport from site to site
