A driver in the UK had an unwelcome surprise recently. He had been trundling along the M60 motorway well within the speed limit and using the middle lane, despite the inside lane being free from traffic. Seeing this, a police car drew behind the driver and the officer flashed the headlights, warning the man to use the inside lane. Instead of moving over however, the driver used his cellphone to call the emergency services and say that another driver was flashing his lights aggressively. The officers involve

Seeing this, a police car drew behind the driver and the officer flashed the headlights, warning the man to use the inside lane. Instead of moving over however, the driver used his cellphone to call the emergency services and say that another driver was flashing his lights aggressively. The officers involved were less than amused and the driver was given points on his licence for the driving offence.

    A rider amongst a group of cyclists on a training run in Australia had a rather unpleasant experience. The man was cycling along a road with his team mates when a young kangaroo jumped out from the road side and collided with him, knocking him from his bicycle. Although he was riding at speed at the time, he was not seriously hurt and as one of his team mates filmed the incident, will have video footage to better remember the incident by. The feelings of the kangaroo over the incident were not recorded.

    A cyclist was recently spotted on the UK’s busy M25 motorway pedalling along the hard shoulder in the wrong direction. Police were alerted by a CCTV operator who saw the rider as he rode past a camera. Officers quickly responded and escorted the cyclist to a place of safety after providing a few words on safety. Cycling is banned on the UK’s motorways.
