A Chinese truck driver had a lucky escape when his vehicle collided with two cars that had crashed right in front of him. The truck then rolled onto one of the cars, spilling its 5.5tonne cargo of frozen fish in the process. Those involved in the crash may have smelt afterwards, but escaped without serious injuries. The truck driver’s wallet was hit hard however, as the costly cargo defrosted and had to be thrown away.

    A South African cyclist suffered a serious crash during a race in his country, due to an antelope’s lack of awareness of road rules. The cyclist was knocked off his bicycle by a Red Hartebeest buck, which charged across the dirt road he was riding along. During timed runs to meet with official requirements, the heavily modified mobility scooter proved capable of hitting a speed of 172km/h. The men fitted a Honda motorcycle engine and new driveline components, including go-kart tyres.
