3281 Eurovia Specialist Treatments, part of Eurovia UK, are strengthening their armoury with the introduction of a customised Etnyre chipper spreader from the US. A Eurovia team worked with Etnyre to develop the operating parameters, enhanced health, safety and environmental compliance of the model. The self-propelled high-performance surface dressing chipper has a Cummins low-emission 194kW Tier IV engine.

The unit’s computer controls can adjust the material rate and speed of spread up to a width of 6.1m – a 30% increase on the maximum width.More minor and rural roads can now be treated in one pass, according to the manufacturer, which will minimise the number of joints in the newly applied surface dressing and limiting road traffic closures.

Etnyre, based in the US town of Oregon, Illinois, is a maker of chip spreaders and asphalt transportation equipment and accessories, including flushers and sprinklers, asphalt storage tanks, trailers and crude oil transporters. The company was founded more than 100 years ago.
