Eight lives left

A van driver using a busy motorway in the UK was surprised when several other motorists flashed their headlights at her. She soon discovered however that there was reason for their behaviour as the other drivers had spotted a cat clinging to the roof of her vehicle.

A van driver using a busy motorway in the UK was surprised when several other motorists flashed their headlights at her. She soon discovered however that there was reason for their behaviour as the other drivers had spotted a cat clinging to the roof of her vehicle. The van was carrying ladders on its roof, to which the terrified animal was clinging. An internet appeal soon found the owners and the cat was returned unharmed though perhaps a little wiser for its 35km motorway journey.

    Video footage has emerged of US police apprehending caped crusader, Batman, at the wheel of a Lamborghini. Hawk-eyed police spotted that the vehicle did not bear valid license plates as instead it bore the Batman symbol. As a precautionary measure, the police pulled the errant Lamborghini over. When the driver emerged from the vehicle he was dressed from head to foot in a Batman costume and explained he was on his way to a local hospital where he intended to entertain children in the cancer ward.
