Eight lives left

A van driver using a busy motorway in the UK was surprised when several other motorists flashed their headlights at her. She soon discovered however that there was reason for their behaviour as the other drivers had spotted a cat clinging to the roof of her vehicle.

A van driver using a busy motorway in the UK was surprised when several other motorists flashed their headlights at her. She soon discovered however that there was reason for their behaviour as the other drivers had spotted a cat clinging to the roof of her vehicle. The van was carrying ladders on its roof, to which the terrified animal was clinging. An internet appeal soon found the owners and the cat was returned unharmed though perhaps a little wiser for its 35km motorway journey.

The 23 year old driver struck the 80 year old pensioner as she drove home early on morning. He had left the car in a street close to where a new building is being constructed, which features large areas of glass in its design.
