Kleemann is now offering a new crushing plant for the recycling market

The new crusher offers economy, operability and sustainability as well as versatility for use in recycling applications.

During the development of the mobile jaw crusher plant MOBICAT MC 110(i) EVO2, Kleemann concentrated on the requirements of demolition and construction companies and contractor crushers. With an output of up to 400tonnes/hour, the new mobile jaw crusher meets the requirements in the medium to upper output range. The plant suits duties in recycling applications where the main objective is effective coarse crushing.

During the further development of the MC 110(i) EVO2, the focus was placed on optimised transport and rapid setup of the machine. The transport height was reduced by 200mm to 3.4m. Relocation is now possible with simplified transport by means of semi low-loaders. The startup procedure itself takes only around 10 minutes and includes setup times for flaps, belts and feed hopper.

Higher plant availability is offered due to a sophisticated and highly innovative overload and control system. This effective multistage system detects overload situations at selected points, which are caused by excessively hard and uncrushable material. If such material enters the crushing process, the crushing gap (CSS) opens twice as fast as with the predecessor plant or, as an option, even up to 40x faster. This increases the availability as well as the overall output.

The new digital solution SPECTIVE CONNECT sends all important plant data to the smartphone.

In the new MOBICAT MC 110(i) EVO2, Kleemann has integrated a series of new technologies and improvements. The continuous feed system (CFS) is said to ensure continuous crusher utilisation and can boost daily outputs by up to 10%. The independent double-deck prescreen effectively separates fines before they reach the crushing process, which increases the total plant throughput. The extra-long articulated crusher jaw is said to ensure improved feed behaviour, whereas the flattened transition to the crusher chamber makes an optimum material flow possible. In addition, access for maintenance has been optimised, allowing fast, safe and convenient maintenance.

With its innovative technical solutions, Kleemann also offers energy efficiency in all of its new and further developments. The improved diesel-direct drive concept reduces fuel use, which helps to minimise operating costs. The output-dependent fan guarantees an increased cooling capacity, operates only when required and reduces fuel consumption.

Asphalt plant manufacturers agree that recycled asphalt is a valuable resource that is too good to waste - Mike Woof writes. Around the globe there is growing interest in the use of recycled asphalt pavement (RAP). The technology to utilise RAP in asphalt mixes has been available for some time, with a range of asphalt plant manufacturers in the US and Europe having developed a number of solutions. However, take-up of this technology has varied, with the US pushing ahead with the use of RAP while progress ha
