The F800T is a 2.44m class paver and is powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 diesel rated at 127kW that meets the Tier 4 Final emissions requirements. The firm says that this is a productive and stable paver for its class, while the hydraulic components are oversized with many of same units as the firm’s larger F1000 paver to ensure reliability and longevity. Dynapac is offering a 2.44m class paver with its F800T
161 Atlas Copco Construction Equipment is launching its new F800T tracked paver into the US market. The F800T is a 2.44m class paver and is powered by a 196 Cummins QSB6.7 diesel rated at 127kW that meets the Tier 4 Final emissions requirements. The firm says that this is a productive and stable paver for its class, while the hydraulic components are oversized with many of same units as the firm’s larger F1000 paver to ensure reliability and longevity. This will also help cut spares holding costs for fleet customers. The machine runs on a high performance undercarriage system, which is said to be capable of pushing trucks even when the hopper is fully loaded. The machine is available with the proven 2599 Carlson EZ08-15 front mounted electrical screed and features a material transport system from the hopper with oversized components that helps reduce materials segregation in the mat. Power for the screed’s electrical heating is provided by a tractor-mounted, hydraulically-driven generator that is oversized and provides 34kV, with plenty of capacity for powering additional equipment.
Asphalt paving technology continues to develop, benefiting from new technologies and new diesel engines - Mike Woof reports The asphalt paving equipment market is seeing the introduction of new low emission engines that will meet the Tier 4 Final regulations for Europe and North America. These have required some major engineering changes, with firms now having to install bulky exhaust after-treatment systems and additional cooling for engines and turbos.

An array of new US-style paver models is now being made available on the market. Several of the main manufacturers have developed updated paver models, with new low emission engines being amongst the key upgrades being fitted.
