Driving feat

A young Latvian man has managed an impressive challenge, passing his driving test despite having no arms. Using his feet to control his car, which features a conventional automatic transmission and is completely standard, the man has achieved his feat. He lost his arms following a serious accident as a child but was keen to drive so as to maximise mobility.

A young Latvian man has managed an impressive challenge, passing his driving test despite having no arms. Using his feet to control his car, which features a conventional automatic transmission and is completely standard, the man has achieved his feat. He lost his arms following a serious accident as a child but was keen to drive so as to maximise mobility. The Latvian authorities ruled that as long as he was able to control the car to the standard required his disability should prove no barrier.
