Volvo’s EW60E focuses on mobility
7659 Volvo Construction Equipment’s latest wheeled excavator, the EW60E, is equipped with a powerful Stage IIIB/Tier 4f compliant Volvo engine and adjustable hydraulic flow.

The EW60E also has a top speed of up to 30kph, meaning it can easily be driven between locations.

It features a new generation Volvo Cab that includes 10% more space for comfortable operation. A phone tray, two power sockets, cup holder and three other large storage areas makes the Volvo cab a more convenient working environment. The cab’s air conditioning is 10% more efficient, with six adjustable vents that allow for optimal airflow.

All-round visibility is improved by a thinner pillar, larger glazed area and enlarged wiper blade. The rear view camera secures a better view for accurate control through the 7" colour LCD display, ensuring there are no blind spots even in the most confined working areas.

For easy, intuitive operation, the keypad groups all controls on the right hand side and the LCD screen displays all machine information for access to functions through its easy to use menus. Hot keys allow the operator to directly access pre-set functions for added convenience. The improved proportional joy stick provides better grip and increases ease of control.

Ground-level service access and convenient greasing points reduce service times service intervals can easily be monitored by way of an in-cab screen, which also shows reminders when maintenance is needed.

An auto idle and auto shutdown, whereby the engine automatically stops after a preselected idle time, lowers fuel costs and reduces noise levels.

This excavator is equipped with Volvo MATRIS software that analyses operator behaviour to improve efficiency, boost productivity and reduce fuel and maintenance costs. Volvo also offers the VCADS Pro diagnostic system, making it easy to control the machine.

The addition of either a mechanical or a hydraulic quick coupler allows attachments to be changed quickly. A complete range of buckets from general purpose reinforced buckets to ditching buckets is available.

Volvo’s durable hydraulic breakers are fully compatible with the EW60E. The machine can also be equipped with the Volvo thumb, designed to work with both Volvo direct-fit buckets and quick coupler to make many tasks possible, including piling, placing, loading, lifting and carrying.
