Doka’s Framax Xlife stripping corner incorporates a ratchet for easy operation

203 Doka has been highlighting its new Framax Xlife stripping corner at this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas.

All the work of retracting or expanding formwork can be done fast and safely by one worker at the top of the core because of the Framax Xlife’s built-in ratchet.

No crane is required and the formwork unit can then be repositioned in a single lift to save crane time. With the addition of hydraulic cylinders, an operator can retract and expand the entire core formwork at the push of a button.

On completion, this large-scale infrastructure project is set to massively reduce the traffic burden on the existing bridge and significantly improve the daily traffic situation at what is a major river crossing. The two separate roadway slabs are cable-stayed off twin H-shaped suspension towers 150metres high. Lead project co
