Danfoss says its new piston pump offers high performance hydraulics
1434 Danfoss has completed its H1 range of sophisticated, high-power drives. The new 210/250cm3 piston pump closes offers versatility and high performance for off-highway machine applications, according to the firm. With these additions, the comprehensive range comprises 14 pumps with displacements covering 45-250cm3, five bent axis motors spanning 60-250cm3 and five control options. This offers solutions for advanced transmission solutions.

According to Danfoss, efficiency compensates for low engine rpm. Featuring a compact, lightweight design, the H1 pumps and motors afford versatility and high operating efficiency compensates for the lower rpm of emissions-compliant engines, with the motors outperforming rival units by up to 6%.

A patented integrated speed limitation (ISL) circuit adds to the high-level pump functionality, enabling improved vehicle braking with no risk of engine overspeeding. Danfoss has paid attention to the SIL 2 functional safety requirements that, along with Tier 4, are driving the trend towards intelligent machine management. Enabling automatic adjustment of vehicle driving characteristics to on or off-highway conditions, H1 Automotive Control (AC) is pre-SIL 2 certified.

Most recently, Danfoss has supplemented H1 AC with Eco Mode and Cruise Control options. Configured to lower engine rpm during on-highway transport, Eco Mode cuts fuel consumption by up to 20%. The entire H1 family is compatible with the Danfoss plus+1 control platform, including pre-tested software blocks that save on system development time, bringing new applications faster to market.

Kobelco used INTERMAT for the European introduction of its G series CKE range of crawler cranes –displaying the CKE2500G and the CKE800G, with lifting capacities of 250tonnes and 80tonnes respectively. Both benefit from lower fuel consumption of up to 25% partly attributed to their Stage IIIB engines having an auto idle stop (which cuts the engine if it is idling and automatically re-starts it as soon as a control is touched) and the G Winch that retains its winching speed even if the engine revs are reduce
