International construction equipment manufacturer 6097 Chicago Pneumatic has said that it is to introduce a new range of portable and stationary generators.

Announced at Conexpo 2014, the range, being rolled out during the first half of the year, will complement Chicago Pneumatic’s existing portfolio of tools and equipment, and encompasses a wide range of options to meet the power needs of the construction industry across geographical markets.

The portable petrol generators (CPPG) are designed for use by contractors working in various locations and levels around a construction site.

Among features are a simple handle design; engine alarms to protect crucial components and an automatic voltage regulation (AVR) which improves the quality of electricity supplied.

Chicago Pneumatic’s new stationary generators (CPSG) are based on a frame-and-canopy design, and can serve a variety of stationary applications (primarily for the construction industry, but also in mining and industrial sectors), with a wide range of application-oriented options available.

CPSG stationary generators are designed to perform at 100% load at 40°C ambient temperature.

Daniel Escuer, product marketing manager power for Chicago Pneumatic, said: “The addition of these generators to our product portfolio, alongside our existing tools and equipment, will enhance our position as the trusted partner of the construction industry.

“As a result of our close bonds with this industry, we have been able to develop a range of stationary and portable generators that will directly address the needs of our customers, providing specific solutions for specific applications to benefit operations of all sizes and in all territories.”
