179 CEI Enterprises is now developing a full new line of concrete production plants. This takes the firm, part of 681 Astec Industries, into a new business segment and CEI is working on the engineering required as well as planning its manufacturing and marketing operations for these units. The range will include nine new designs of concrete plants and will include both traditional batch plants and innovative new plant technologies. Included in the new innovative technologies will be the conventional concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and cement treated base (CTB) plant designs that had previously been produced by Astec INC. With this technology transfer, Astec INC is exiting the concrete production plant business to focus on a new renewable energy product line and all concrete plant prodution equipment is being moved over to CEI. Getech, the Italian manufacturer of centrifugal washwater cleaning systems (formerly Gennaretti) is targeting tunnelling operations with containerised versions of its V type machines. The five-machine range can remove up to 60tonnes an hour of solids from washwater flows of up to 180m3/hr.

Danish company UN Mobilkraner, which has worked with Manitowoc since 1994, now offers certified repair and refurbishment services for Grove mobile cranes in Scandinavia, under the Manitowoc Crane Care brand. To qualify for the program, dealers must invest considerable time in training technical staff, including advanced training for welders to earn the correct certifications for welding structural components on cranes.

Globally renowned Austrian formwork company Doka has almost tripled its sales revenue in the last 12 years and is aiming for greater success in 2013, according to Group chairman Josef Kurzmann. Kurzmann said the firm recorded sales revenue of €853million in 2012, compared to €326million in 2000. Additionally, the percentage of non-European sales revenue accrued by Doka had increased from 6% in 2000 to 42% in 2012.
