179 CEI Enterprises is now developing a full new line of concrete production plants. This takes the firm, part of 681 Astec Industries, into a new business segment and CEI is working on the engineering required as well as planning its manufacturing and marketing operations for these units. The range will include nine new designs of concrete plants and will include both traditional batch plants and innovative new plant technologies. Included in the new innovative technologies will be the conventional concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and cement treated base (CTB) plant designs that had previously been produced by Astec INC. With this technology transfer, Astec INC is exiting the concrete production plant business to focus on a new renewable energy product line and all concrete plant prodution equipment is being moved over to CEI. Allu has added three new models to its range of screening buckets. The Allu DL series has been designed for excavators between 4 and 12tonnes and loaders between 2 and 8tonnes. The design of the DL series bucket’s top screen ensures that it won’t clog, even with wet materials, according to the manufacturer. The screening blades and top screens can be changed to vary the size of the end product, which is dependent on the spacing between the combs.

Dynapac is introducing the CC1600 tandem roller for asphalt which features a state-of-the-art drivers’ platform and a water-cooled engine. It has vibratory drums as wide as 1,600mm, and is engineered primarily for asphalt compaction on streets and pavements in urban areas. It is also suitable for compacting sub-bases and base courses, and is adequate to follow a compact paver.
