179 CEI Enterprises is now developing a full new line of concrete production plants. This takes the firm, part of 681 Astec Industries, into a new business segment and CEI is working on the engineering required as well as planning its manufacturing and marketing operations for these units. The range will include nine new designs of concrete plants and will include both traditional batch plants and innovative new plant technologies. Included in the new innovative technologies will be the conventional concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and cement treated base (CTB) plant designs that had previously been produced by Astec INC. With this technology transfer, Astec INC is exiting the concrete production plant business to focus on a new renewable energy product line and all concrete plant prodution equipment is being moved over to CEI. BOMAG is now offering its tandem rollers for asphalt applications with a novel tangential oscillation system. This technology is being rolled out to the North American market on the new BW 161 ADO-4 tandem roller. This innovative exciter system now offers increased compaction productivity. CDE Global has formed CDE GmbH trading as CDE Deutschland, which has developed from a distribution agreement for southern Germany that was in place between CDE Global and Jurgen Kolsch. The move sees Stefan Kolsch and Sean McCusker assume roles as directors in the new company, which will have exclusive responsibility for the sales, distribution, project management and after sales and service elements of the CDE business in Germany.
