179 CEI Enterprises is now developing a full new line of concrete production plants. This takes the firm, part of 681 Astec Industries, into a new business segment and CEI is working on the engineering required as well as planning its manufacturing and marketing operations for these units. The range will include nine new designs of concrete plants and will include both traditional batch plants and innovative new plant technologies. Included in the new innovative technologies will be the conventional concrete, roller compacted concrete (RCC), and cement treated base (CTB) plant designs that had previously been produced by Astec INC. With this technology transfer, Astec INC is exiting the concrete production plant business to focus on a new renewable energy product line and all concrete plant prodution equipment is being moved over to CEI. Engine supplier Yanmar will show a full range of California Air Resources Board (CARB) certified engines at Bauma. Among key features of the SC-70 and SC-90 is a design that enables easy transport and set-up on site. The cranes are modular for fast conversion between a range of applications, such as use with a hydraulic or mechanical grab, hydromill, chisel, vibratory driver or clamshell. New Tier 4 engines are available.

German company Atlas Maschinen and Finnish group Mantsinen have formed a new strategic partnership that will include technical cooperation covering the manufacturing of hydraulic material-handling machines and R&D.
Atlas has its head office in Delmenhorst and plants in Ganderkesee and Vechta, while Mantsinen’s principal place of business is in Ylämylly, Finland.
