CDE’s M550 wash plant

3168 CDE Global ’s new North America market-orientated M5500 sand washing plant is able to produce up to an impressive 550tonnes/hour of washed materials on a single chassis.

The M5500 model on show at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 was sold to a major US frac sand supplier only last week.

And Northern Ireland-headquartered CDE is confident that its high volume throughput and optimum efficiency will appeal strongly to North American customers.

Kevin Vallelly, head of product development at CDE, said: “This latest addition to the M-Series combines feeding, screening, washing and stockpiling onto one chassis, and packs an extra punch with unique features. These include a higher capacity of 550 tonnes per hour, a five-product capability and triple pass cyclone sand washing.”

A selection of Infinity screens - CDE’s new development in screening technology - has also been launched onto the North American market, with the P3108 inclined screen, the D164 and the F164 fine materials screen on show this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Adapted to applications in both dry and wet screening situations across a wide range of materials, the new Infinity technology will also be of particular interest to operators looking for sturdier and more economical vibrating screens.

Peter Craven, CDE head of marketing, said: “The customer who bought the M5500 plant on our stand had already bought a 200 tonnes an hour Infinity D164 screen, which we installed as a retrofit to replace one of their ten screens. I think there’s a bit of confidence currently in the North America frac sand industry.”

Meanwhile, CDE has just completed its first US waste recycling-based project after installing a 300tonnes/hour recycling plant for a customer in New Jersey.

A busy Q1 2017 for CDE has also seen the firm appoint Kevin Kelly as president of its North America operations.
