7959 Burkina Equipments is now increasing its geographical coverage in the construction and extraction markets in Burkina Faso. The company is part of the Ja Delmas network and is now a major player in supplying heavy equipment for the construction, mining, energy and transport sectors in Burkina Faso.

The new site is located on the outskirts of Ouagadougou on the Niger road and covers an area of 10ha, of which 7,800m2 is under cover. The operation has 350 employees while its establishment is generating around 100 additional jobs with local sub-contractors.

The company intends to provide a complete after-sales service from the facility, which has taken two years to create. The operation has a fleet of machines for rental or sale on site, offers full scale demonstrations and can also recruit and train its personnel in the most up to date techniques.

One of the key facilities is the 2,100m2 component rebuild centre. In this area the components of machines that have been taken apart can be stripped down and analysed for wear, with reconditioning as required to the manufacturer’s recommendations. Customers can save time and improve efficiency as the work can be handled locally.

The rebuild centre is large enough to process components from the biggest machines currently operating in West Africa (CAT 795F trucks with a payload capacity of 315tonnes) ensuring that the requirements of all types of projects can be met.

The site also includes a 22,000m2 demonstration and testing area which can accommodate the entire rental or sale fleet on site, as well as a data room so that all the onboard technologies can be managed from one single point. These facilities are in addition to a spare parts store, a machine repair and maintenance workshop and a technical training centre.
