The Case CX750D excavator offers high performance for quarrying applications

According to 176 Case CE, its CX750D excavator offers additional performance in quarrying applications. Unveiled at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 exhibition, this machine is said to offer a productive new solution for quarrying duties as well as large scale earthmoving tasks. The machine takes the place of the earlier CX700 and CX800 machines and is offered in two versions, with a standard boom and dipper and with a shorter mass excavation configuration.

The firm’s vice president for North America, Scott Harris, explained: “It is a product line simplification.” He added that the machine is also more heavily built than the previous units and said, “The boom and arm are all more robust and the hydraulic cylinders are larger.”

Power comes from a Tier 4 Final-compliant diesel rated at 382kW, while fuel consumption is said to be low due to efficient hydraulics and an automatic idle system. To minimise emissions it has DOC and SCR systems but has no need of a DPF unit.

Key features include faster cycle times, greater levels of responsiveness and the new cab layout with a fully adjustable work station and improved sight lines. Another important point is that the machine is covered by the Case ProCare package for three years, which allows customers to determine maintenance and running costs on a more predictable scale.
