Camoplast Solideal tyres get to grips with all types of terrain
3203 Camoplast Solideal, a Canadian manufacturer of off-road tyres, wheels and rubber tracks, is launching three new tyres specifically for skid steer machines as well as new tyres for soil compactors.

Camoplast showcased the Solideal SKS 732 and 775, both pneumatic, and the 793S, which is the very latest solid tyre solution from the company, based in Magog, in the province of Québec.

The Solideal SKS 732 is ideal for soft or muddy soil and less abusive ground environments. It has a stepped tread design that will not allow mud and other material to stick between the treads, which improves traction.

Meanwhile, the Solideal SKS 775 is a severe-duty tire for mixed and hard surfaces such as packed gravel and paved yards. Both tyres feature a reverse sidewall profile to help deflect debris and improve side-impact resistance.

The solid non-directional Solideal SKS 793S is for extremely abusive working environments such as scrap yards. However, the elongated apertures allows for a relatively comfortable ride without compromising strength.

Also new is the Solideal CMP 533 for soil compactors that minimises ground pressure and damage resulting in superior compaction performance.

Pneumatic tyred rollers are often used for finishing work in road construction, due to the high quality surface they can deliver. For a time development of these machines stalled but in recent years there has been a resurgence of interest in their use. Contractors have reali
