Break for the border

In the US state of Idaho a man reported to a county sheriff's office with a request to be deported to Mexico. This request was denied so the man instead stole a police car and headed for the border. However the car contained a cell-phone belonging to one of the officers and was tracked. When the vehicle ran out of fuel, officers were able to apprehend the offender and he was then deported to Mexico, as he had originally wished.

    In the UK a pensioner made a wrong turn that could have ended in disaster. As the 85 year-old woman drove her car across a level crossing, she inexplicably turned onto the railway tracks and then proceeded to drive along them.     A driver in the UK recently escaped serious charges for affray. The man had been driving along the road when he threw two empty coffee cups from his vehicle as it was stalled in traffic.
