Innovative pothole patcher from Bergkamp
3850 Bergkamp is introducing new spray injection pothole patcher tools at Conexpo. The firm says that its fully mobile material transfer and storage trailer can increase paving time and reduce costs, while also cutting the risks of trucks being stopped for being overweight. Truck-mounted micro surfacing pavers can connect to this new Mobile Stockpile and be refilled with aggregate and emulsion.

Bergkamp is also offering two other pieces of equipment that can work with the Mobile Stockpile to complete the slurry seal and/or micro surfacing process. The M310 truck-mounted slurry seal and micro surfacing paver allows operators to easily calibrate the machine, control production rates and simplify maintenance. The Variable Width Spreader Box (VSB) attaches to the M310 and allows contractors to quickly adjust paving widths from 2.43-4.87m.

The Mobile Stockpile eliminates the need to drive away from the immediate job site to reach a stockpile. Conventional dump trucks can load the Mobile Stockpile with aggregate while tankers can deliver emulsion, avoiding the risk of receiving fines for overloaded pavers driving to the job site from a stockpile location. Water is replenished via a separate source. The Mobile Stockpile is designed to use a minimal footprint of one lane width of roadway for an entire stockpile operation. Trucks can bring materials directly from the supplier, reducing logistics issues associated with finding stockpile locations and simplifying job management while lowering job cost.

In addition, Bergkamp’s M310 truck-mounted slurry seal and micro surfacing paver now uses the EMCAD System to help operators easily calibrate the machine, control production rates and simplify maintenance. It can self-diagnose control system or engine problems and displays a simple error code, reducing troubleshooting and repair time. Connecting to the micro surfacing paver, the VSB replaces standard spreader boxes and can expand and contract while paving to match roads that fluctuate in width. It is available 2.4-4m, 2.7-4.3M and 3-4.6m models. Widths up to 4.9m are available by special order.%$Linker: 2 Asset <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 2 57153 0 oLinkExternal www.bergkampinc.com Bergkamp website false /EasySiteWeb/GatewayLink.aspx?alId=57153 false false%>
