Benninghoven introduces silenced mastic plant

Benninghoven has developed the GKL Silent unit for mastic asphalt duties. The unit has no hydraulic drives and is instead all-electric. 167 Benninghoven has developed the GKL Silent unit for mastic asphalt duties. The unit has no hydraulic drives and is instead all-electric.

The firm says that this new low noise system allows work to continue outside of regular working hours and during the night. The unit also benefits from the firm’s sophisticated new control cabinet.

Robust and fully computer-controlled, the GKL Silent can be operated from a touchscreen. All data is shown in plain text, are saved and can be read out live from the Webfleet Portal and printed for subsequent archiving. This meets future certification requirements for transport. The mixer is equipped with a pre-heating program, which reduces the stress on the empty mixer during warming up of the mixing plant. The GKL Silent is available in the sizes 3.3-10m³ and can be installed on suitable HGVs, trailer beds, articulated trailers
