When her partner mentioned that he and some friends were planning to ride from their home state of Alaska to the tip of South America, she said this sounded like a good idea and wanted to go along for the adventure as well. He said it would be too tough for her however, saying that it was suitable for his male friends only. She dumped him, sold off most of her belongings and then set off on her own instead.
