Bee careful

Several mountain bikers in Spain recently underwent a painful experience when riding off-road. The men were attacked by a massive swarm of bees while taking part in the Tropical Bike Motril competition. A number of the cyclists jumped off their bikes while being attacked, with five having to be treated in hospital afterwards. One of the cyclists was stung 80 times.

A car knocked down the young child in a traffic incident but a fast response from burly passers-by saw the vehicle actually being lifted off the child. Emergency services were quickly on scene to take the injured child to hospital and although the injuries were by no means slight, he is expected to recover.
