Ausa’s telehandler proves popular at Conexpo

Ausa’s newest and smallest telehandler, the T 144 H plus, was receiving a lot of attention on the manufacturer’s stand at Conexpo. “We’ve had a lot of interest, especially in this machine,” said Mark Benfield, Ausa’s area manager for USA and Canada. “Some people like it more than skid steers because you get more reach and more lift for the same size of the machine.

2188 Ausa’s newest and smallest telehandler, the T 144 H Plus, was receiving a lot of attention on the manufacturer’s stand at Conexpo.

“We’ve had a lot of interest, especially in this machine,” said Mark Benfield, Ausa’s area manager for USA and Canada. “Some people like it more than skid steers because you get more reach and more lift for the same size of the machine.

The T 144 H Plus, which was unveiled at Bauma last year, can lift 1,250 kg at 4m. The machine’s two/ four-wheel drive transmission with hydrostratic technology makes it easier to manoeuvre, says Ausa.

Ausa, which focuses on the compact end of the market,  also had its biggest available machine on the stand, the C500 H forklift. And though there were no dumpers on display, Benfield said that interest in these machines is growing.

“Traditionally there has been a strong demand for dumpers in Europe, but not in the US,” he said. “But people are starting to ask about it now. They are great machines for trenching because you can side dump, and people often use them for carrying concrete around site."
